New Year!! New Studio!! New Start!! New Sign!! New Me?…
So the other day I pulled into the YMCA parking lot, after not setting foot into the place since August…that’s right August…I really don’t want to talk about it…I dont’ want to talk about the fact that I spent 50.00 per month and didn’t go not ever once in the last 5 month…ugh…crazy..just plain crazy and stupid..So here I am pulling into the parking lot..just got find a spot….ok maybe in this row…or in this row…oh gosh here is one..waaaaay in the overflow parking lot…Hmmmm guess I am not the only one who is back on the exercise wagon.. Why do we do this every year? Why do we start out making newness, promises and all those crazy promises…so here I go, I am gonna get back at it again. Since I moved my studio outside the home, I have struggled with the balance of living the healthy active lifestyle that I need to keep wieght off of my body, and with running a full time demanding, successful photography studio…. So this year after moving into a brand new dream studio, that I have huge new exiting plans for, I plan to just do the best I can. No extreme weightloss programs that I usually fail cuz I put too much stress on it, no programs that I pay for and don’t make work..none of that. I am just going to make an effort of eating better choices most of the time and to get my exercise in on a regular weekly basis. I might take a class, or go on a diet thrught out the year here and there, but no crazy promises. It just does not work for me.
So on to the New Studio News! So 2011…it was one of those years that was very bitter than sweet…The news of having to move out of my old studio was a bit traumatic, but then at the same time/or almost the same week, I had the anticpation of a brandnew larger than ever space awaiting completion. The completion took much longet than originally comunicated, but in the end it was worth the wait. It is the most amazing space I could dream of. The camera room alone is over 800 sq feet. I have a huge room for projection and a huge office and production space. Although with any new space, there is much to do..to decorate, and to …well just do… So many things are on the horizon for our little..(eh-hem) big space. So I just can’t wait to get them all going…but this is where my learned patience and perseverance has paid off over the last few years…Perseverance…that is the most diffucult yet wonderful thing I have ever learned in my life… There is one thing that always wins over everything..is perseverance!!! It is a powerful thing…So on that note…
!There was an official newletter sent out this week. We have so many exiting things in store for you this year. With such a gorgeous new space, who wouldn’t?.. We will be running lots of fun specials, lots of new products to decorate your walls with and now we have in house ordering. This is going to make everything run smoother and faster..we all will love that.

We have a brand new sign..just put up today!! It looks so awesome!! I love love love love it!! Did I say I love it.
My brother n Law Mike Carbon created it!! With my idea and his knowledge and talent and fancy machine, we created the best looking sign in Washington County…;) Did I mention how much I love it? Oh one more exiting thing..we are having a BOGO sale. Buy any size print and get a second one of the same size and image free. So if you need an extra print..maybe mom wants one too, or maybe uncle Tim needs one too. Or maybe you want one and you need three more for your sisters…so get two for two…how ever you want to do it. This will run from Jan 9th , my Birthday) through Jan 12th ( Thursday)

Doing some PR work!!
My good friend Erin came to me and asked me if I wanted do some photography for her magazine that she was launching in May. (Erin is the Editor In-Chief of The brand new awesome Herlife Magazine Milwaukee. This is a free monthly publication. Look for it to be distributed everywhere. Including MCM Portraits Studio!! )
I said I would love to!! Not thinking really much of it, except that it would be just something fun to do with some of the articles and some advertising…
Then she called me and said Hey I can get you in the first issue right away. She explained that she needed some quick head shots of Elizabeth Kay…that’s right “Elizabeth Kay” from the 99.1 they myx..the morning show!! Seriously!! Ummmmmm let me think…ummmmm ok!!!
This was such a fun little shoot to do with Elizabeth…what a sweet and so down earth gal…She is just like you hear her on the air. Sweet, ,fun, and of course just funny, and the type of person you would want to hang out with all the time. ..ok well I do. She cracks me up every morning. I especially love the little commercials that her and Kid O’Shea have been doing on U -tube. So hilarious!!! Love Them.
So here is the little photo-shoot we did…I am going to ad that I did this little photo shoot right in the Market Place in the Third ward…right in the hallway by the bathrooms. People kept walking by us and we still had a blast. I will admit I was a little nervous and a little star struck…but Elizabeth made it so easy to get over that. I really enjoyed working with her.
There will defiantly more fun with Elizabeth in front of the camera.

Then Erin called me a second time…this time if was for a little photo shoot with the gorgeous and talented Morning Blend Star Tiffany Ogle…ummmm let me think…OH-KAY!!!
This time it was for the cover shoot!!! So cool!! I was very exited.
We were able to visit the WTMJ 4 studio’s. This alone was so exiting!! I was so super exited to just see the studio…I was amazed at the lighting set up alone…( of course I would be looking at the ceiling like a dork at all the pretty lights) 
While we waited for Tiffany to finish up the show…

They decided to make it little entertaining for me with the camera in hand. They kept doing this crazy stuff during commercials during the 12:00 new…so hilarious..I couldn’t stop laughing…it was great!! This is truly the kind of stuff I live for…:)
